This test requires a finger-stick, and results are provided in approximately two minutes. Testing includes total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides and glucose. Chronic Kidney Disease: Keys to Prevention and Management

In recognition of National Kidney Month, representatives from Mountain Kidney and Hypertension Associates will be providing two education events for the community. First, clinicians will be offering a drop-in opportunity for blood pressure screenings and information on Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) including kidney-friendly recipes. Next, Christine Banman, RD, LDN, will present information on Kidney Disease, and will focus on CKD in western North Carolina, causes of CKD and tips for prevention.

Drop-In Screening 9:30 - 11 a.m and Presentation 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Registration required for the presentation by calling (828) 692-4600.
