Kimerly Hinkelman – Executive Director

Kimerly Hinkelman joined the foundation in July of 2012 coming from The Cancer Support Community of Philadelphia. She brings an additional 30 years of experience to Henderson County. Kimerly is passionate about volunteering.

Tracey McMahan

Tracey McMahan – Administrative and Communications Coordinator

Tracey McMahan joined the Foundation in June of 2011.  After living for 30 years in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she and her husband are enjoying getting to know North Carolina.  She has one wonderful son and a lovely daughter-in-law. Tracey enjoys hiking, cooking, gardening and working with polymer clay.

Tammy McCurdy

Tammy McCurdy – Special Events Coordinator

Tammy is responsible for managing three Signature Events: Tournament of Champions, Diamond Jubilee Gala, and Women Helping Women. Tammy joined the foundation in March of 2012. In the past she has worked as a Director of Sales and a Director of Social Catering for hotels and country clubs, primarily in the South Florida area where she lived for fifteen years after relocating from Massachusetts. She and her husband brought their two young sons to Hendersonville 5 years ago to enjoy the four seasons Western North Carolina offers. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, biking, participating in church life and spending time with her family.

Jane Thompson

Jane Thompson – Donor Relations and Financial Coordinator

Jane Thompson has been with the foundation since 1999 and is the Donor Relations Coordinator. Jane grew up in the Panama Canal Zone and she loves to hike, surf the Internet and read mysteries.

Karen Yagerhofer

Karen Yagerhofer – Annual Fund Manager

Karen joined the Foundation in April 2013 as Annual Fund Manager responsible for annual gifts from patients, employees, physicians and friends. She is a New Jersey native and a graduate of the University of Delaware. Karen first came to Hendersonville in 1982 where she began her career in retail management working for Ruth Originals/Absorba until 1991. Following executive management positions with national retailers including Jockey International, Springs Industries, The Children's Place and Apple Computer, Karen landed back in the mountains in 2010 and most recently managed The Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra. In her spare time, Karen enjoys sewing with vintage textiles and is involved with varied church and community activities.
