Pardee Hospital Foundation hosts a variety of events to keep donors, patients, families and the community in touch with the Foundation and the hospital.
Fundraising events provide meaningful and enjoyable ways for individuals, corporations, businesses and community partners to support the hospital. Through your involvement with the Tournament of Champions and Women Helping Women, Pardee is able to increase its margin of excellence to better serve the community.
Other events held throughout the year focus on education and appreciation. This year we will have our Diamond Jubilee Gala in June, which celebrates the positive impact of charitable giving by awarding the Philanthropist of the Year as well as the Physician of the Year.
Thanks to a host of generous sponsors, the 60th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee celebration will be an evening of Diamonds in the Sky on Saturday, June 29, 2013.
The announcement of our Pardee Healthcare Philanthropist of the Year always promises to be a highlight of the evening. Pardee Foundation established the annual Healthcare Philanthropy Award to honor a donor who has provided long-term gifts and who volunteers time to Pardee Hospital and the Foundation as well as other healthcare organizations in our community. Recipients of this prestigious award are community leaders who selflessly advocate for healthcare philanthropy and inspire giving in Henderson County.
Stay tuned to this website and Pardee Foundation's blog for updates about this year's extra special event.
16th Annual Women Helping Women
Thursday Oct. 24, 2013: Women Helping Women Dinner, Kenmure Country Club
Friday Oct. 25, 2013: Women Helping Women Luncheon, Kenmure Country Club
Concerned about Henderson County's alarming breast cancer rate – one of the state's highest – a group of compassionate and concerned women leaders spearheaded Pardee Foundation's Women Helping Women program and fund in1998. Its mission: To provide financial assistance to uninsured women for mammograms, treatments and services at Pardee Hospital.
Since its inception, Women Helping Women has raised more than $1.7 million and helped nearly 1,000 patients. Over the years the program's reach expanded to include financial assistance to patients who are uninsured or under-insured and need health care for breast and other women's cancers, heart disease, osteoporosis and serious illnesses. The WHW Fund also has paid for vital new equipment such as digital mammography units. Today, Henderson County has one of the state's highest breast cancer survival rates.
2013 Women Helping Women Co-Chairs:
You're invited to Pardee Hospital Foundation's Tournament of Champions
Monday, May 13, 2013 at Kenmure Country Club
Pardee Hospital Foundation is proud to announce the Tournament of Champions. Thanks to the generous support of donors like you, the tournament has raised over $1.5 million to support Pardee Hospital facilities, equipment and programs since 1996 as well as providing affordable quality healthcare in our community.
We invite you to consider supporting this year's tournament, which will highlight the Foundation's 18th anniversary as well as directly benefit patients and services of Pardee Hospital and the community.
Your tournament gifts this year will be used to fund an Angiography – this new vascular c-arm would be used for imaging in orthopedic, vascular or general surgery, allowing surgeons to do arterial and venous imaging. This would be most often used for diagnosing and removing blood clots and placing vascular stents while doing a bypass.
We will hold a 9-hole tournament in the morning followed by our traditional 18-hole tournament. Seniors 65+ who have a handicap of 15 or higher will be allowed to play from the gold tees on the Kenmure course.
