Women Helping Women
Women of Hope survivor display
Pardee Hospital Foundation is pleased to honor women in our community for sharing their story of courage, determination, and will - as they have faced cancer …in their lives and in the lives of their family.
Since 1998, Pardee Foundation’s Women Helping Women program has raised over $660,000 to provide financial assistance for patients who are uninsured or underinsured. Approved patients receive screening mammograms and breast cancer procedures at Pardee Hospital.
As part of this effort, the Women of Hope Display was created in 1999 to highlight some of the women of our community who have experienced breast and related cancers. This display is a collection of 26 photographic portraits, each with a personal statement from the participants.
This display is permanently housed in the lobby of Kayden Radiation Oncology Center and the Elizabeth Reilly Breast Center. There are traveling exhibits in English and in Spanish available for short-term display at area businesses and other locations. Please contact Pardee Foundation at 828-696-4666 if you are interested in hosting a traveling display.
