Ways to Give
Pardee Hospital Foundation was established in 1996 and incorporated
in January 1996 as a 501(c)(3) organization. Pardee Foundation
provides the community with charitable giving opportunities
to support the services and programs of Pardee Hospital.
You may wonder why a medical facility needs charitable contributions.
While hospital fees for services contribute to the overall
cost of caring for patients, additional sources of support
are necessary. Factors such as the increasing costs of providing
medical care, recent decreases in Medicare reimbursement
rates, rapid population growth in Henderson County, and the
increasing burden of health care costs that people are paying
out of pocket are all demanding that we seek financial help
from various sources.
To best service the needs of Henderson County, Pardee Foundation
is focused on raising funds to support the hospital’s
strategic plan. Resources raised
for these purposes may fund some of the following needs:
- Expand cancer, cardiology and surgery programs
and facilities
- Expand services for our senior populations
(e.g. adult day health, nursing care, assisted living,
home health care, orthopedics)
- Equipment and diagnostic upgrades (not
included in the hospital budget)
- Care for the truly indigent
in our community
- Wellness, prevention and education programs.
Thanks to the generosity of you, our donors, the Foundation
raises an average of $2 million each year, 100 percent of
which goes directly back into the community to help support
patients at Pardee Hospital.
