Psychiatric and Addictions Therapeutic Healing Services (PATHS) Is a dual diagnosis unit specializing in the treatment of psychiatry and detoxification services. Inpatient and Outpatient services are available.
PATHS is a 21 bed inpatient unit that provides short term crisis stabilization and medical detoxification. Our goal is to restore patients to maximum well-being in the least restrictive environment. Our treatment philosophy centers on our belief in treating the whole person while providing a calm and caring environment for their recovery. Program therapies and activities are designed to improve coping skills, encourage independence and self reliance, and provide education in management of mental illness and addictions.
Our multi-disciplinary team consists of a medical director, registered nurses, recreation therapists and masters-prepared social workers. In addition to daily group therapy, our structured programs and support groups on the unit include Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and Al-Anon, which provides support for the families and friends of alcoholics.
Referrals for the Inpatient Services are accepted 24 hours a day by calling (828) 696-4250. Referrals may be made by primary care providers, emergency departments, and mental health professionals.
The outpatient specialty clinic for Psychiatric and Addictions Therapeutic Healing Services (PATHS) offers consulting and medication management services in the treatment of psychiatric and addiction disorders. In addition, our psychiatrists will offer pre-electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) assessments for qualifying patients.
Referrals for the Outpatient Services are accepted 24 hours a day by calling (828) 694-4545. Referrals may be made by primary care providers, emergency departments, and mental health professionals.
