Steven Crane, M.D.
Steven Crane, M.D., a board-certified family practice physician received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and completed his residency at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Dr. Crane is the program director for the Pardee Family Practice Residency Program, which is affiliated with MAHEC and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. By teaching resident physicians and participating in continuing education programs, physicians are continually learning the latest medical advancements and treatments.
Dr. Crane has special interests in patient safety, prevention and community health. He has full medical privileges at Pardee Hospital and is currently accepting new patients.
Richard Hudspeth, M.D.
Richard Hudspeth, M.D., a board-certified family practice physician, received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill. He completed a residency at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio and an obstetrics fellowship at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City.

Natascha Lautenschlaeger, M.D., a board-certified family medicine physician, received her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, S.C. and completed a residency at Mayo Clinic Family Residency in Jacksonville, Fla.

Andrew Morris, M.D.
Andrew Morris, M.D., received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and completed a residency at MAHEC Family Medicine Residency in Asheville, N.C.

Hayam Shaker, M.D.
Hayam Shaker, M.D., a board-certified family practice physician, received her medical degree from Kasr El-Aini School of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. She completed a residency at the Hendersonville Family Practice Residency Program in Hendersonville, N.C.

Cynthia VanDeusen, R.N., F.N.P.
Cynthia VanDeusen, R.N., F.N.P., received her nursing degree from Western Carolina University. She was trained and certified as a geriatric nurse practitioner at SUNY Buffalo in New York and as a family nurse practitioner at UNC Chapel Hill through the MAHEC program.
VanDeusen has a background in diabetes education, public health and endocrinology. Her special interests include diabetes care, palliative care and end of life planning. VanDeusen takes great care to assure that her patients have the proper education regarding any health challenges they may be facing. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and a MAHEC continuing education board member.
VanDeusen provides a full scope of family medical care for people of all ages. She is a credentialed member of the Pardee Hospital auxiliary medical staff and a residency program faculty member. The offices of Hendersonville Family Health Center are affiliated with MAHEC and the UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine and serve as a teaching facility.
Pardee’s family nurse practitioners provide health assessments, direct care, and guidance, teaching, or counseling as appropriate, particularly around family self-care. Our F.N.P.’s work collaboratively with our family medicine physicians and other health professionals.
