Appointments
and Cancellations
Please call during office hours to schedule an appointment. A 24-hour notice
of cancellation is requested. If you should experience symptoms of an acute illness
or injury, please call the office immediately. Our office staff will phone patients
if an appointment has been missed in order to reschedule. Please make every effort
to be on time for an appointment. New patients should arrive twenty minutes early
to fill out patient information forms. If you cannot be on time, please contact
us. Your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
Emergencies
If you have an emergency after normal office hours that cannot wait, call Pardee
Hospital at (828) 696-1000 and ask the operator to page the on-call physician.
Dial 911 for life threatening situations.
Prescription
Renewals
You may phone us during our hours of operation with questions regarding prescriptions
or refills. Please allow 48 hours to responds to your prescription request.

We will call or notify you by mail of your test results.

All calls are directed to the appropriate person to give you a response. We
appreciate your patience in our efforts to direct your call to the person most
qualified to assist you.
Insurance
and Payment Information
Fees for office visits are based on the time spent as well as the complexity
of the medical problem. Payment is expected at the time of your visit. We accept
cash, check, Visa or Mastercard. Our office files health insurance claims as
a courtesy to you. On your initial visit you will be asked to complete the
appropriate insurance forms and present a copy of your insurance card(s). We
accept Medicare assignment and participate with a number of managed care programs.
It is your responsibility to notify the front desk staff if your insurance
program requires prior approval for treatment. The Hendersonville Family Health
Center will not be responsible for claims that are unpaid because the insurance
program was not notified. We will assist you in contacting the insurance program
so that your claim will be covered.
Patient
Rights
If you have any concerns about the care you or your family have received, or
the manner in which you were treated in our office, please feel free to address
this to any of our staff. In order to provide considerate patient care, the
Hendersonville Family Health Center upholds a Bill of Patient Rights. The Joint
Notice of Privacy Practices explains how Hendersonville Family Health Center
may use patient information. A copy of the Joint Notice of Privacy Practices
is available to patients upon request.
