The Radiology Services Department is required to have a written order from your physician for a radiology exam. Your doctor may give you the order to bring with you or he or she may fax the order ahead of time. Routine X-ray exams (such as chest X-ray, bone films of ankles, wrists, leg, etc.) are performed on a walk-in basis at the Kayden Center. Special exams (such as CAT scan, MRI, PET scan, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, interventional exams, gastrointestinal or kidney exams) require an appointment, which will be made by your physician’s office.
Some exams might require special preparation. You should be instructed at the time of scheduling by your physician. The outpatient order form you will receive from the physician also has most of the procedure preparation information on the back of the form. If you have any questions, please ask your physician or call Pardee’s Radiology Department at 696-1040.
Our radiologists interpret the exams and provide your physician with a written report within 24 hours. A call report can also be made to your physician at the time of the procedure if your physician requests it. You will receive a separate bill for this interpretation. Coverage for imaging tests varies and depends on your coverage and the carrier. Please check with your insurance company for this information.
