The National Database for Nursing Quality Indicators

The National Database for Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) was established in 1998 by the American Nurses Association. This avenue to measure quality of care monitors how Pardee is doing in regard to having the proper number of nurses to care for our patients and how the staff members are providing those quality measures that are directly linked to the nursing care provided. This database allows us to be measured against hospitals of a similar size, to compare data on the presence of hospital acquired conditions such as pressure ulcers, central line infections, ventilator infections and urinary tract infections, and the use of restraints.
