Pardee and Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project (ASAP) will host Farm to Table on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 6 – 7 p.m. at Pardee Signature Care Center, located in the Blue Ridge Mall. This informative event will cover topics including how your choice of food affects your overall health, where to buy farm fresh foods and how co-ops work. Ingles Markets will present a live cooking demonstration and attendees will also learn how to freeze and can food.

The ASAP's mission is to help local farms thrive, link farmers to markets and supporters, and build healthy communities through connections to local food. This mission is achieved through providing support and training to area farmers, connecting farmers to area chefs and foodservice buyers, spearheading local food campaigns, certifying local products grown/raised as Appalachian Grown, organizing Asheville City Market, coordinating the Mountain Tailgate Market Association and through the Growing Minds Farm to School Program.
