Pardee Hospital Foundation hosted its 13th Annual Women Helping Women Luncheon on October 22 at Kenmure Country Club. Guests were there to unite for one cause – to help women in our community with their healthcare needs. Attendees came together to celebrate survivorship and to see how their collaborative gifts touch so many lives. The previous evening, on October 21, guests enjoyed the beautiful garden setting at Mélange Inn for the Meet the Speaker Dinner. Over $1.4 million has been raised since 1998 and has made a direct impact on Pardee Hospital by providing much needed equipment, facilities and services for women. The Women Helping Women program provides financial assistance to uninsured women with their healthcare needs at Pardee Hospital in regards to breast and other cancers, heart disease, osteoporosis, and other critical women’s health needs. These funds have touched the lives of over 900 women in need in our community. Thank you to the 80 sponsors and numerous supporters of our 2010 Women Helping Women events. Because of your generosity nearly $125,000 was raised to perpetuate the Women Helping Women program that makes a difference in the lives of women in need in Henderson County. Photos from the luncheon at Kenmure Country Club are below. Stay tuned for more photos to come from the dinner at Mélange Inn. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
Pardee Hospital hosted our second Hike to Health, on Saturday, Oct. 23 at Chimney Rock. Hikers of all ages (including some furry friends!) came out to enjoy the crisp fall weather and beautiful scenery along the trails at Chimney Rock. We couldn't have asked for a better day for hiking, or a greater turnout for the event. Participants received a long sleeve Hike to Health T-shirt, giveaways, healthy refreshments and free admission into Chimney Rock. Stay tuned next spring for details about upcoming hospital community outdoor events. Pardee Hospital promotes healthy and active lifestyles. We hope to see you at our next Hike to Health.
