Pardee CEO announces resignation

The Board of Directors of the Henderson County Hospital Corporation has announced it has received a letter of resignation from Kris Hoce, President and CEO of Pardee Hospital. “Mr. Hoce has been a highly regarded leader of our community hospital and we are extremely disappointed in this news,” stated Bill Lapsley, Chairman of the Board. “However, we understand the success of Pardee Hospital has caught the attention of a number of larger health systems, and Kris Hoce has been heavily recruited because of the great work he has done in this community. We understand that success breeds interest and we are very proud of Hoce, his accomplishments and this organization.” Hoce has accepted a position leading Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla., which will provide a significant career advancement. Morton Plant is part of Morton Plant Mease and the Baycare Health System. The Board’s Executive Committee will establish a Search Committee to oversee the selection process for Pardee’s next President/CEO and will consider the appointment of an interim President/CEO within the next few weeks. The selection process is expected to take approximately six months. “Residents of Henderson County should know that the management of your community hospital is in great hands,” Lapsley added. “We have a tremendous team here at Pardee Hospital. We may be losing the captain, but 99 percent of the team is still in place, working hard every day to provide high quality, low cost healthcare services to our community.” According to Lapsley, “The Pardee Board will periodically update Pardee associates, medical staff, volunteers and the community about the CEO selection process as we proceed in the coming months.”
