Celebration of Life

The Breast Friends Forever support group typically has between 20-30 women who attend monthly meetings at the Kayden Center. Kristy Capps, RN, nurse navigator for the Elizabeth Reilly Breast Center, faciliates the group.  For Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Oct., she teamed up with Melanie Tecklenburg, mammography supervisor, for a special meeting to honor the women in Henderson County who have been diagnosed with breast cancer this year.  The women gathered for food and refreshments, prizes, fellowship and a celebration of life. More photos from Women Helping Women

Pardee Hospital Foundation hosted its 13th Annual Women Helping WomenLuncheon on October 22 at Kenmure Country Club.  Guests were there to unite for one cause – to help women in our community with their healthcare needs.  Attendees came together to celebrate survivorship and to see how their collaborative gifts touch so many lives. The previous evening, on October 21, guests enjoyed the beautiful garden setting at Mélange Inn for the Meet the Speaker Dinner. Change in cafeteria and Garden Café hours

The interim cafeteria has officially been in use for one week and has been well received by customers, meeting our temporary need while renovation of the new cafeteria is completed. The Garden Café has also done an excellent job in adjusting to the additional business and seating capacity. In order to maintain a high level of service and quality in our food service at Pardee we will be making a change in the service hours as of Tuesday, Nov. 9. The hours of service for both locations will be as indicated below: Cafeteria:
  • Monday – Friday       6:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. (serving line closes at 1:45 p.m.)
  • Saturday & Sunday    6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Garden Café:
  • Monday – Friday       8:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday    CLOSED
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this exciting yet challenging project.
