Brady Schroer, D.O., a psychiatrist with the Psychiatric and Addictions Therapeutic Healing Services (PATHS) inpatient and outpatient unit at Pardee Hospital, has received board certification in addictions medicine by the American Board of Addictions Medicine and the American Society of Addictions Medicine.
The American Board of Addictions Medicine
recognizes addictions medicine physicians that demonstrate to the American public that they have excelled in skills that prevent, recognize and treat addiction. In order to receive such recognition, a physician must meet high standards of clinical judgment and patient care in addiction medicine, 1920 hours in addiction medicine (teaching, research, administration and clinical care), 50 hours of continuing medical education within the past two years and pass a six-hour written examination.
The American Society of Addictions Medicine
is dedicated to improving quality of patient care as well as educating physicians to support research and prevention of addiction.
Psychiatric and Addictions Therapeutic Healing Services (PATHS)
at Pardee is a 21 bed inpatient unit that provides short term crisis stabilization and medical detoxification. Referrals for Inpatient Services may be made by calling (828) 696-4250. Referrals for Outpatient Services may be made by calling (828) 694-4545. Referrals are accepted 24 hours a day and may be made by primary care providers, emergency departments and mental health professionals.
