The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease offered at Pardee Health Education Center

The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease will be available on Monday, Mar. 26, from 1 – 3 p.m. at the Pardee Health Education Center, located in the Blue Ridge Mall. When someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia, friends and families have many questions about caring for their loved one. This Alzheimer’s Association sponsored program will answer questions about memory care as well as offer suggested planning assistance to meet challenges that often come with these conditions. This will be an ongoing educational series. Although this program is free, registration is required by calling 1-866-790-WELL (9355).

Amal Das, M.D., to discuss hip and knee replacements at Pardee Health Education Center

Amal Das, M.D., with Hendersonville Orthopaedics, will discuss hip and knee anatomy and the procedures for replacing these joints at the Hip and Knee Replacement presentation on Friday, Mar. 30, from 2:30 – 4 p.m. at the Pardee Health Education Center, located in the Blue Ridge Mall. Hip and knee replacements are necessary when everyday activities become difficult and the pain in the hip or knee joints becomes unbearable. Dr. Das will share information about how hip and knee replacements have evolved tremendously over the last four decades.
