Board-certification of nurses plays an increasingly important role in the assurance of high standards of care for patients and their loved ones. A registered nurse (RN) license provides entry to general nursing practice. However, the knowledge-intensive requirements of modern nursing require extensive education, as well as a strong personal commitment to excellence by the nurse.
Pardee Hospital encourages national board-certification for nurses. There are many nursing certification specialties such as medical-surgical, pediatric, perioperative, gerontology, oncology, research, obstetrics, case management, emergency nursing, critical care and many others.
Please join Pardee Hospital and the nation's national nursing certification organizations in honoring those hardworking, dedicated nurses for their professionalism and a job well done.
Pardee Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital founded in 1953 and is managed by UNC Health Care. The hospital is licensed for 222 acute care beds. The hospital has several locations separate from the main campus and a comprehensive physician practice network.
