Jay Whitmore and Susan Greene to speak about hereditary emphysema at Pardee Health Education Center

Jay Whitmore, Alpha 1 Advocate, and Susan Greene, Senior Territory Manager with Coram Specialty Infusion Services, will present “Hereditary emphysema? Could your genes be responsible?” on Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 2 – 3 p.m. at Pardee Health Education Center, located in the Blue Ridge Mall.
This presentation includes a lecture on Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency and the simple three minute test associated with hereditary emphysema. Those who have been diagnosed with COPD, emphysema, or uncontrolled asthma are encouraged to attend. Free screenings for Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency will be offered beginning Nov. 1.
