Lucy Butler, with Pardee Rehab & Wellness, will provide a mini-presentation of Sharp as a Tack, a program that focuses on "neuroplasticity" and brain fitness. As an individual begins to age, their brain may slow, but there are ways to remain cognitively fit. Everyone needs to work on making their "brain span" match their life span by taking care of and stimulating mental capacities. Also joining the presentation is Maureen Scullin with Lighten Up 4 Life, presenting information on foods that promote good brain health. A cooking demonstration will be provided.
The event will be held at the Pardee Signature Care Center on Thursday, June 19, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Register by calling 692-4600. Refreshments will be served.
