[gallery link="file" order="DESC" columns="2"] Charles Albers, M.D., FACS, and Michael Jones, M.D., FACS, are proud to welcome two new employees to the Comprehensive Wound Healing Center at Pardee.
Leslie Cassell, RN, recently joined the team after more than 25 years of experience in home health and medical-surgical nursing.  Taking on the center’s first Registered Nurse position, Cassell will provide direct patient care and assist in the coordination of care between the center, each patient’s primary care physician, and other clinicians that may be involved in treatment. “Leslie has a great attention to detail and demonstrates a commitment to improving quality of life for the people we serve every day,” said Dr. Jones. Dusty McNabb joins the team as the front office coordinator.  McNabb brings a substantial administrative background to her new role, as well as creative talents and an enthusiasm she has used in the service of our community as arts and events director of a local church for more than seven years. “Dusty’s vibrant personality is a warm welcome to patients as they arrive at our center,” said Rachel Beal, program director of the Comprehensive Wound Healing Center at Pardee. Cassell and McNabb join Dr. Albers and Dr. Jones at the center, a partnership between Pardee Hospital and Diversified Clinical Services, the leading national provider of wound care services with an 88 percent healing rate within 31 median days-to-heal and extremely high patient satisfaction rates. Pardee's Quality and Case Management departments host diaper drive

The Quality and Case Management departments decided to host their own diaper drive for the Hendersonville Storehouse on 7th Ave. In doing so, the group brought in over 1,300 baby diapers, plus money that will be used to purchase more diapers for children this Christmas. The idea stemmed from Linda Owenby, who's mother volunteers at the Storehouse. Linda said that so many of the mothers that come to the Storehouse do not have diapers for their babies. This gave her the idea to do a diaper drive within her department to see how many diapers, as a group, they could bring in and donate to these families. The diapers and money kept flowing in, and now the department is considering doing it year-round. They call their campaign, "Dry Butts for Christmas." If you would like to contribute to the diaper drive, contact Linda Owenby at (828) 696-7965. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
