In honor of our 60th anniversary, we are taking a journey back in time. See what Pardee was up to in the 1950's.
On Thursday, Oct. 17, Pardee hosted a Celebration of Life event for the Breast Friends Forever support group at the Pardee Signature Care Center. Over 30 members of the support group attended this annual event that celebrates women who have overcome issues related to breast cancer and survivorship.
At the Celebration of Life, the support group members shared their experiences with each other and then listened to guest speaker, Susan Albers, as she shared her cancer journey. The ladies were then led outside where members of the Hendersonville Fire Department expressed their support and presented a pink rose to each of the ladies. A special dinner was held afterwards catered by Iannucci's of Hendersonville, and local Mary Kay consultants were also onsite to give free makeovers.
The Breast Friends Forever support group meets monthly at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Pardee and is open to women who currently have breast cancer or have previously been treated for the disease. The group is free and open to the public. For more information about this support group, contact Kristy Capps at (828) 698-7334.
