Pardee was recently recognized as the Top Fundraising Relay For Life Team in Western North Carolina. This is the second year that Pardee has been recognized as the top fundraiser based on the 27 relay events held in the Western North Carolina region.
“Pardee being the largest fundraiser for Relay in the WNC region is a testament to how dedicated we are in the fight against cancer. It also shows the incredible teamwork that the associates of Pardee Hospital are known for. Being able to work together to make our Relay successful gives us a sense of accomplishment, and being able to celebrate with our team members and support our cancer survivors at the event makes all of the hard work even more meaningful,” said Carol Burke, AA, CTR, Cancer Program Coordinator and Physician CME Coordinator at Pardee.
This year, Pardee raised over $48,000 for Relay For Life and surpassed their total of fundraising efforts from 2010 by nearly $3,000. Pardee’s Relay For Life fundraising goal for 2012 is $50,000.
