The Comprehensive Cancer Center at Pardee is Henderson County’s only comprehensive community hospital cancer program and is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Only one in four hospitals that treat cancer receive this special approval, which recognizes programs that offer the best in cancer care. In 2009, Pardee was the only hospital in North Carolina to receive the Commission on Cancer's Outstanding Achievement Award, one of only 82 in the nation. April Monnich, RN-BC, has received psychiatric and mental health nursing certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Monnich has been with Pardee since 2006 and works as a charge nurse in Psychiatric and Addictions Therapeutic Healing Services (PATHS). She received her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina.
The American Nurses Credentialing Center is a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association and provides resources to nursing individuals and organizations to achieve excellence in their specialty nursing practices.
Yesterday was the opening of Blue Ridge Community Health Services and we are proud to partner with them by providing laboratory and radiology services at their facility. We are honored to work with BRCHS to provide healthcare to our community. Read more about their new center.
