Pardee Hospital Staff Celebrates ISO Certification

On Feb. 22 the staff of Pardee Hospital celebrated receiving the ISO  9001:2008 accreditation. Pardee Hospital is the first and only North Carolina hospital to be accredited with this international quality standard for care. More than 32,000 organizations in the United States are ISO 9001:2008 certified. February is Heart Health Month

Standard flu vaccines available at Pardee Health Education Center

Standard flu vaccines will be available every Monday and Thursday at 9:30 a.m. and every Wednesday and Friday at 3 p.m. at the Pardee Health Education Center, located in the Blue Ridge Mall. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states that by getting a flu vaccine, one can protect themselves from influenza as well as avoid spreading it to others.  This is an inactivated vaccine given by injection and is available to those who are 16 years of age or older. The standard flu vaccine is $22 and may be purchased by cash, check, credit card or Traditional Medicare Part B.  Supplemental and private insurance will not be processed, but receipts will be issued for patient reimbursement submissions.  No appointments are necessary.  For more information, please call 692-4600.
