On Thursday, January 14 Pardee hosted the Vision Henderson County group for a half day of tours and presentations.  Vision Henderson County is led by John Boyd, whose long list of civic activities includes time as president of Western North Carolina Entrepreneurial Council, president of the Business and Merchants Association and a Chamber board member of Henderson and Transylvania Counties.  Vision Henderson County's mission is to promote informed and committed civic volunteerism, and programs are designed to help participants acquire both a fuller sense of the wide array of critical issues affecting Henderson County and the leadership skills necessary to motivate and engage others in collaborative efforts to resolve them.  During the day the tour group of about 30 individuals including our own Nina Lovern, Lilly Bonetti and Steve Novak, had the opportunity to listen to presentations by Dr. Steven Crane, our CEO Kris Hoce and Terry Layne of Henderson County EMS.  They also had in-depth tours of the ED, Radiation Therapy and the Breast Center.  One of the many highlights of the day was when the Mountain Area Medical Airlift (MAMA) copter touched down on our helicopter deck for the group.
