Thursday, March 11, the Vision Henderson County class of approximately 24 individuals stopped by to tour Pardee Urgent Care and the Pardee Rehab & Wellness Center as part of their class visits for the day. The group also visited Sheriff Rick Davis, the WNC Agricultural Center, Advantage West, Wilson Art and the Henderson County offices. Tours of the Pardee facilities were led by Tim Auwarter, director of Rehab and Wellness, Joel Tipton, CPR coordinator, and Diane Ballard, assistant manager of Pardee Urgent Care. Tim and Joel were both graduates of the Vision program. Vision Henderson County promotes informed and committed civic volunteerism. Its programs are designed to help participants acquire both a fuller sense of the wide array of critical issues affecting Henderson County, and the leadership skills necessary to motivate and engage others in collaborative efforts to resolve them.
While touring Pardee Urgent Care, the group was able to learn about excellent clinical services available at our Urgent Care facility including, adult and pediatric medical care, minor surgery, sports physicals, a physician on-site at all times, and convenient weekend and evening hours. Tim and Joel were able to inform the class of the benefits and services that Pardee Rehab & Wellness offers to the community. The Pardee Rehab team works together to create an individualized treatment program to maximize recovery from injury or illness, as well as exercise programs to increase and prolong good health.
We are pleased to have been a stop on the schedule for the Vision Henderson County class for 2009-2010.
