Pardee Breast Center Nurse Earns Breast Patient Navigator Certification

are proud to announce Kristy Capps, R.N., B.S.N., has received the designation of Certified Breast Patient Navigator in Imaging and Cancer (CBPN –IC) through the completion of the NCBC’s Breast Patient Navigator Certification Program
Capps received her associate and undergraduate nursing degrees from Gardner-Webb University
in Boiling Springs, N.C. As a breast care navigator, she serves as a guide for patients diagnosed with breast cancer. From initial diagnosis thru recovery, Capps provides on-going support, advocacy and encouragement to each of her patients and their families. Capps also facilitates the Breast Friends Forever Support Group for women who are currently fighting breast cancer as well as those who previously fought the battle and won. The group meets monthly at the Kayden Center.
