Pardee Hospital is hosting a community outdoor event, “Hike to Health”, on Saturday, June 12, at DuPont State Forest
. Participants will hike from Guion Farms to Wintergreen Falls, a total of 3 miles round-trip. There is a kids hiking loop just a few steps away from the entrance to the Wintergreen Falls hiking trail.
Registration for “Hike to Health” is quick and easy. Interested participants will register by calling 1-866-790-WELL. Registration is $15 per hiker, with no charge for children age 10 and under. The hike will begin at 9 a.m. rain or shine.
Participants will receive an event T-shirt, hiking backpack, and healthy refreshments for before and after their hike.
Pardee Hospital’s focus for Hike to Health is on community wellness to bring people together from Henderson County and the surrounding communities to promote healthy and active lifestyles. Our goal is to showcase hiking as a fun outdoors activity where you can get up and get active with your family and friends. The hike is also an opportunity for participants of Pardee Hospital’s Lighten Up 4 Life
to kick-off the next trimester of weight loss.
Organic coffee will be provided by Jongo Java
and snacks donated by the Hendersonville Community Co-Op
and Immaculate Baking
. A "Hiker's Basket" will be given away at the event, along with other free goodies including: $10 FootRX
gift certificates to all hikers, Jongo Java coupons, REI
water bottles and reusable bags, event posters, and more!
Don't miss this great opportunity to enjoy a great outdoor activity, and earn some awesome items just by registering.
See you on June 12!
