, a system that summons help immediately at the touch of a button, is offering free installations during the month of July. This is a savings of $52.50.
The service is ideal for those with high-risk medical conditions, chronic illnesses or individuals with limited mobility. Lifeline offers other services as well, such as a speakerphone function allowing individuals to answer the telephone without using a handheld receiver and the ability to leave reminders of important things to do throughout the day. Lifeline recently launched the new AutoAlert button featuring the only pendant-style help button that can automatically call for help if a fall is detected and a senior is unable to push his or her help button. According to an internal laboratory study of simulated falls, Lifeline with AutoAlert detected 95 percent of many types of falls and had a low rate of false alarms.
Lifeline operators are available to answer questions or provide assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Lifeline also retains pertinent health history and information on who to contact in the case of an emergency, when an individual is unable to provide this information.
“Lifeline’s personal medical alert service and equipment options make it easy to select the safety and convenience features that work best for you and your family,” said Ron Comeens, Lifeline coordinator for Pardee Hospital. Subscription to this service is available for a low monthly fee, based on the types of options selected. For more information about this free installation offer, call 1-800-242-1306, x4748.
