Pardee Hospital implemented a new quiet time for patients on Sept. 7 - Silent Hospitals Help Healing (SHHH)
is a unique quiet time that has been put in place on all units except PATHS at Pardee, Joint Camp and the Women and Children’s unit. Quiet time is everyday from 2-3:30 p.m.
and patients are encouraged to rest and nap for an uninterrupted 90 minutes while lights are dimmed, voices lowered and visiting time limited.
This program has been adopted by many hospitals nation-wide and has been confirmed successful. An uninterrupted time period will allow patients to catch up on much needed rest which will ultimately accelerate healing time. By participating in a specific 'quiet time' Pardee Hospital can create a calm and relaxing environment for our patients to heal.
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping all noises to a minimum during 2-3:30 p.m.
