The Closing Ceremony for Pardee Hospital's
Choice Campaign was celebrated on September 22. The event began with a procession of campaign leadership – Department Team Captains and members of the Pardee Choice Steering Committee. Myra Grant, VP Community Accountability and Philanthropy, welcomed everyone and expressed how gifts to the Pardee Foundation make a difference to patients and staff by providing new equipment, funding renovations, and financially assisting charity care patients. Executive Director of United Way of Henderson County
, Ruth Birge, talked about how United Way helps residents of this community in regards to income, health, education and rebuilding lives.
Finally, Kris Hoce, President/CEO, congratulated Pardee associates on a successful campaign and commended the over 630 employees who participated. Hoce said, “We have an active culture of giving at Pardee Hospital. Each day our associates give their time and talents to patients, and are dedicated to delivering the highest quality healthcare to our community.” He announced the employee giving to date combined with corporate gifts totals over $145,000 and is still climbing.
Pardee Hospital associates really met the challenge of being the Pacesetter Campaign for the United Way and set a great example of giving for the entire county.
