May is National Stroke Month

In 2012, Pardee was the first Stroke Capable Hospital in Henderson County. Since then, Healthgrades™ has recognized Pardee as a five-star recipient for treatment of stroke for 3 years in a row (2012-2014).

A stroke can happen to anyone, but the good news is that stroke is one of the most preventable of all life-threatening health problems. By making simple changes in your lifestyle like staying active, eating healthy and not smoking, you can reduce your risk for a stroke. Through our association with the North Carolina Stroke Care Collaborative and the National Stroke Association, Pardee is able to provide timely, quality treatment to all stroke patients. Strokes can be debilitating, and we are also doing our part to decrease the long-term effects of stroke in our community through our speech, occupational and physical therapy services.
