All patient rooms are private. Patients wanting to leave their unit for any reason should check at the nurse's station first, and assistance can be provided to you as needed.
Rooms are equipped with televisions. In consideration for other patients, we ask that TV volume be kept low and that sets are turned off overnight. Pardee provides basic cable as well as three closed circuit channels that provide information and service to our patients and visitors.
Telephones are also provided in every room, with the exception of intensive care rooms. Family and friends can reach you in your room by dialing (828) 696-1-(your room number).
*Long-distance calls cannot be charged to your room. You can make credit card calls or charge long distance to your home number.
Telephones with amplified handsets and text telephones are available upon request.
Guests and visitors have Internet access for their wireless-enabled laptops. Please connect to our guestaccess network.
Pardee Hospital is proud to be recognized as one of the first hospitals in North Carolina to become a tobacco-free campus. Patients, visitors and team members are not allowed to smoke inside the building or on the premises. Nicotine gum or patches will be provided to patients if ordered by a doctor.
The Pardee Hospital Auxiliary delivers mail for patients each morning. Letters and parcels that arrive after you have been discharged are forwarded to your home. Stamps and stationery may be purchased in the gift shop. Outgoing mail may be left at the nurses' station or given to a volunteer.
