All patient rooms are private. Patients wanting to leave their unit for any reason should check at the nurse's station first, and assistance can be provided to you as needed.

Rooms are equipped with televisions. In consideration for other patients, we ask that TV volume be kept low and that sets are turned off overnight. Pardee provides basic cable as well as three closed circuit channels that provide information and service to our patients and visitors.

  • Ch 18 - C.A.R.E. channel, providing scenic images and soothing music composed to support a healing environment
  • Ch 20 - designed for Women & Children's Center, offering programs for new parents and women's health
  • Ch 21 - information & health related programs

Telephones are also provided in every room, with the exception of intensive care rooms. Family and friends can reach you in your room by dialing (828) 696-1-(your room number).

  • Local calls: dial 9, then the number.
  • Call within the hospital: dial extension.
  • Long-distance and toll calls: dial 9, then 0, then the number*.
  • Operator: dial 0.

*Long-distance calls cannot be charged to your room. You can make credit card calls or charge long distance to your home number.
