Visiting guidelines allow for rest, treatment and patient education. Family members and friends are welcome to visit however, patient care is our primary concern.
General visiting hours are 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Intensive Care visiting hours are limited to 15 minutes during the hours of 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. No more than two people may visit a patient at one time.
Women & Children's Center visiting hours are limited to 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., except for immediate family.
Room numbers for patients can be available at the main information desk located in the main lobby of the hospital on Justice Street. After hours, this information is available from the switchboard operator at (828) 696-1000.
Children under 14 years of age may visit only if accompanied by an adult.
Please avoid visiting patients if you have a fever, cold, sore throat or any contagious diseases.
Visitors should check with the patient's nurse before bringing food or drink to patients. There is also a gift shop across from the main information desk on Justice Street.
Guest beds are available for a fee of $25 payable at the cashier's office on the ground floor.
Vending machines are located just outside the Orchards Cafe and the Emergency Department as well as visitor waiting areas.
There are designated lounge areas for visitors on each patient floor and on the main floor in the lobby. Specific waiting areas have been designated for families of patients in the critical care units, the Emergency Department and Surgery. During certain hours, a volunteer is on duty in the surgery waiting room to keep family members informed about the progress of surgery.
