Quality

Providing the best care has always been a priority at Pardee Hospital. Pardee continues to achieve national benchmark performance in clinical outcomes, quality, cost efficiency and certification throughout all areas of care. Excellent outcomes for our patients are a result of continually improving every department, every procedure and every action taken by our associates and physicians. Below are some of the programs Pardee has launched to measure and improve the quality of care to all of our patients.

A Commitment to Quality

Pardee is the first and only hospital in North Carolina hospital to be ISO 9001:2008 certified. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification is a rigorous process in which a hospital improves and monitors the delivery of patient care, measures quality, and places the highest priority on eliminating errors.

ISO standards are globally known and considered the "gold" standard for all industries. The standards help Pardee to provide consistent patient care, ensuring that operational processes lead to both expected and improved patient outcomes. For more information about the ISO 9001:2008 certification please visit iso.org.

Patient Satisfaction

Hospitals throughout the country have traditionally collected data about the patient experience in the hospital through the use of patient satisfaction surveys. These surveys ask about all aspects of their hospitalization such as the nursing staff, the physicians, the information provided to the patient, pain control and cleanliness. Hospitals use this information to improve the care and services that they provide.

Below is a quick summary of Pardee patient satisfaction scores compared to national and state averages. To see all the scores in each category, please use the link below to hospitalcompare.hhs.gov. This is the Medicare and Medicaid official web site for reporting.

Because this data reflects the opinions of patients from April 2011 to March 2012, the numbers would not be the same as reported today.
