Kevan Hansel, MD

Chief of Staff

Kevan Hansel, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who provides preventative and diagnostic care for adults and children. He has been with Pardee for more than 20 years, most recently involved in medical staff leadership, serving first as vice chief of staff and then as chair of the Medical Executive Committee.

As chief of staff, Dr. Hansel will provide leadership, guidance, and a voice for medical staff and create a dynamic physician environment committed to high-quality, patient-focused care and safety at the 222-bed Pardee Hospital, its comprehensive cancer center, urgent care centers, and orthopedic clinics.

He earned his medical degree from Marshall University and completed his internship and residency in family medicine at the Carilion Health System.

  • Mammo on the Go Screening Event

    Pardee's mobile mammography unit offers appointments at on-site screenings throughout Western NC.

  • Joint Replacement Patient Orientation

    Patients scheduled for a total knee or hip replacement surgery learn how to prepare for a joint replacement, day of surgery expectations, learn about the hospital experience, discuss discharge planning and more.

  • Grow with Pardee: New Grad RN Career Event

    If you are a registered nurse student who is graduating in December, we invite you to join us for this opportunity to visit the hospital, meet our leaders, and ask career path questions.

  • Labor and Birth Class

    Expectant parents learn to prepare for the challenges of birth, including the labor and delivery process, relaxation and breathing techniques, positioning and comfort measures. A tour of the Women's and Children's Center is included.
