Lynn Blythe and Joyce Maybin Receive DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses

Congratulations to Lynn Blythe, RN, C-OB, MNN, and Joyce Maybin, RN, ION, IBCLC, for receiving the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses.
Lynn is the Nursing Director of the Pardee Women and Children's Center. It was Lynn's calling to become a nurse, and she strives to make a positive impact in someone's care and outcomes. Lynn treats her patients as if she were treating her own family, and to have a patient know and feel how much she cares about them is very rewarding. When Lynn isn't working, she enjoys crafting and assisting in preparations for her son's wedding. She is also looking forward to becoming a grandmother in April.
Joyce is a lactation consultant and nurse at the Pardee Women and Children’s Center, and at Pardee Center for Women's Health. Joyce enjoys educating patients and the sense of accomplishment when she sees new mothers acquiring the ability to care for themselves and their infant. The amount of success that a mother has in feeding and caring for her child only adds to her sense of accomplishment, and when Joyce has the opportunity to educate mothers, they acquire the knowledge and skills to accomplish their goals. When Joyce isn't working, she enjoys spending time with family, cooking, entertaining and hiking.
The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses is a national award that honors the super-human work nurses do for patients and families every day.
