Pardee UNC Health Care Welcomes Orthopedic Surgeon Samuel Abrams, M.D.
Hendersonville, N.C. – Pardee UNC Health Care announced today that Samuel Abrams, M.D., a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, has joined Southeastern Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, a department of Pardee Hospital. Dr. Abrams specializes in treating conditions of the hand and upper extremities. He focuses on providing good perioperative pain control while limiting the amount of narcotic pain medication, using evidence-based, opioid-sparing pain control protocols. Non-operative treatments are preferred, but if surgery is needed, Dr. Abrams ensures his patients are fully informed about the surgical procedure and recovery process.
Dr. Abrams earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, completed his internship and residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, and completed his fellowship at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in Indianapolis. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
