Pardee UNC Health Care to Host Free Seminar on Hand Problems on Thursday, June 13

             

Pardee UNC Health Care will host a free seminar, Common Hand Problems and Available Treatments, on Thursday, June 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Mission Pardee Health Campus, located at 2775 Hendersonville Road in Arden (second floor conference room above the YMCA). Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Samuel Abrams, M.D., will discuss common hand problems and treatment options. The seminar is free and open to the public; light refreshments will be served.             “When our hands, wrists or upper extremities do not function properly, daily activities such as driving a car, typing or cooking can be difficult and painful,” said Dr. Abrams. “Join us for this free event where we will discuss what causes these problems, how to alleviate pain and how to regain function.”

           Pardee UNC Health Care is a not-for-profit community hospital founded in 1953 and is managed by UNC Health Care. The hospital is licensed for 222 acute care beds. Pardee has several locations separate from the main campus, including a comprehensive physician practice network, a cancer center, three urgent care locations and five orthopedic clinics.
