Pardee UNC Health Care Team Members Myrana Roberson and Jay Jackson Named Team Members of the Year for 2019 and 2020

Pardee UNC Health Care named Myrana Roberson and Jay Jackson its Team Members of the Year for 2019 and 2020, respectively. The 2019 announcement and usual team member celebration were delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions in 2020. Both team members were celebrated at a recent team member celebration.

2019 Team Member of the Year, Patient Liaison Myrana Roberson works in Pardee’s Emergency Department. She was named Team Member of the Month for September in 2019 and has been with Pardee for 13 years. As stated by a patient who called to praise Myrana, “she advocates for patients and goes out of her way to care for them,” noting that while in the emergency department as a patient, Myrana showed extra care while she was there. Coworkers add that Myrana is supportive and lends a helping hand whenever she can. “She is gentle and kind and truly loves her job.”

2020 Team Member of the Year Jay Jackson is a cook with Nutrition Services. His fellow workers and nominators note that Jay “never misses any time from scheduled work, but on the contrary, volunteers to come in on any of his days off to help out his team anytime there is a need.” Complimented by staff and visitors alike for his professional, yet friendly, warm personality, Jay is known to put “everyone at ease…even on busy days.”
