Erika Garcia, Environmental Services Manager has been named Pardee's Team Member of the Month. Garcia provides schedules and daily assignments to the environmental services team and ensures the hospital's compliance with infection control and waste management.

Garcia began working for Pardee 15 years ago and joined the team "for the employment benefits but stayed because she found a great place to work." She says her favorite part of her job is the difference her team is making in patients' lives. She also enjoys encouraging her team and promoting the excellent work they do.

Her teammates say, "Garcia does her job very professionally and is eager to learn. She approaches all challenges positively, models Pardee's performance standards and serves as a role model for everyone in the organization." She receives compliments throughout the organization about how helpful and pleasant it is to work with her. Garcia is also recognized for going above and beyond to translate training modules to Spanish for her department and inviting other departments with non-English speakers to join in this project. She also helps translate additional information, such as the Pardee newsletter, to Spanish.

The Team Member of the Month award is given to a Pardee team member who positively contributes to achieving the organization’s mission, vision and goals. This person is selected by a committee of their peers and recognized for going above and beyond their regular duties to support patients, customers, peers, the organization and its community. The Team Member of the Month award showcases the many different roles of keeping a health system, like Pardee, operating and delivering patient-centered, quality care.
