UNC Health Pardee Announces Pharmacy Technician Stephanie Heatherly as Teammate of the Month

UNC Health Pardee has announced Stephanie Heatherly, pharmacy technician, as its Teammate of the Month. In her role with the Pardee Outpatient Pharmacy, Healtherly assists in the prescription filling process, delivers medications to discharging patients, ensures medication availability by ordering and receiving drugs and supplies, and maintains pharmacy cleanliness and organization.
Heatherly, who has been with Pardee for 18 years, shared that she always wanted to work in a hospital setting. She said her favorite part of her job is the people that she works with, “we have so many hard-working and caring people that provide great health care for our community.” Her colleagues had similar compliments about her sharing, “Stephanie is an absolute joy and possibly the most caring person I have worked with. She is always willing to help when we need it and always goes the extra mile for patient care.” Staff, coworkers, and patients benefit from Stephanie's actions as they can be confident they will be taken care of.
The Teammate of the Month is given to a person selected by a committee of their peers and recognized for going above and beyond their regular duties to support patients, customers, peers, the organization and its community. The Teammate of the Month award showcases the many different roles of keeping a health system, like Pardee, operating and delivering patient-centered, quality care.
