UNC Health Pardee Announces the Addition of Pardee Orthopedics and Sports Medicine

UNC Health Pardee is pleased to announce the addition of Pardee Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, a new wholly-owned orthopedics and sports medicine specialty group, to the region. Pardee’s orthopedics and sports medicine service line will launch in January 2025. From injury recovery and joint care to comprehensive musculoskeletal care, Pardee’s team of specialists will provide innovative and personalized treatment, guiding each patient on their journey to improved mobility and strength.

“Pardee has a long history of providing and supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused orthopedics and sports medicine services to the residents of our region,” said Dan Hein, administrative director, musculoskeletal services, UNC Health Pardee. “As our region continues to grow, it is important that we are well-positioned to meet and exceed the needs of an evolving population. By building a specialty group wholly owned by Pardee, our response is strategically and fiscally responsible.”

Embracing a holistic continuum of care model, the clinical team will call on the expertise of providers within Pardee’s full network of services, including Pardee Physical Therapy, Pardee’s athletic training program, Pardee BlueMD primary care, and others to better serve patient needs. Pardee Orthopedics and Sports Medicine will serve patients in Asheville, Brevard, Hendersonville, and Waynesville at the following locations:

UNC Health Pardee is a not-for-profit community healthcare organization and is managed by UNC Health. The hospital, founded in 1953, is licensed for 222 acute care beds.
