Robert Ombres Named Leader of the Quarter for UNC Health Pardee

Robert Ombres, RNUNC Health Pardee has announced Robert Ombres, RN, Director of Emergency Department Nursing Services, as its Leader of the Quarter. In this role, Robert oversees the clinical operations and functions of the emergency department, staff management, quality improvement initiatives, and patient flow, while providing high-quality care for patients during emergent situations.

Robert, an Army veteran, has been with Pardee for seven years, and has led the emergency department since 2024. He shared that he is passionate about improving patient outcomes and driving positive change in health care. “My experiences have shaped me into a diligent, dedicated, and adaptable health care professional and I am continually seeking opportunities to learn and grow.”

Robert’s colleagues describe him as professional, compassionate, thoughtful, and a dedicated leader. “We are very fortunate to have Robert at Pardee,” a colleague shared. “He has a great passion for leading his team, providing high-quality care, and for interdisciplinary partnership.” Those who nominated him shared their appreciation of Robert for his positive attitude and his heart for patient care.

The Leader of the Quarter award is given to a Pardee teammate in a position of director or higher. The recipient positively contributes to achieving the organization’s mission, vision and goals. This person is selected by a committee of their peers and recognized for going above and beyond their regular duties to support patients, customers, peers, the organization and its community. The Leader of the Quarter award showcases the many different roles of keeping a health system, like Pardee, operating and delivering patient-centered, quality care.

UNC Health Pardee is a not-for-profit regional healthcare organization based in Henderson County and managed by UNC Health. The county-owned hospital was founded in 1953 in Hendersonville, NC, and is licensed for 222 acute care beds.
