UNC Health Pardee Expanding Endocrinology Services with Addition of New Providers

UNC Health Pardee is expanding its endocrinology services with the addition of Addys Bode, MD, and Kayla McGuinn, FNP-C, to Pardee BlueMD Endocrinology – 2695 Hendersonville Rd, Suite 202 in Arden. This expansion enhances access to specialized care for patients managing diabetes, thyroid disorders, and a wide range of metabolic and hormonal conditions, reflecting Pardee’s continued commitment to meeting growing community needs and improving long-term health outcomes across the region.

Addys BodeDr. Bode, board-certified in internal medicine, endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, brings a patient-centered approach to care, emphasizing partnership and personalized treatment plans. “Every person’s health journey is different,” she said. “My goal is to understand what my patients are experiencing and work with them to create a care plan that truly fits their lives and long-term goals. I rely on the latest research and clinical guidelines, but empathy and clear communication guide everything I do.”

In her practice, Dr. Bode provides comprehensive care for a full spectrum of endocrine conditions, including diabetes management, thyroid disorders, pituitary and adrenal gland conditions, osteoporosis, and metabolic health concerns. Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Bode enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking, sharing lively discussions with her book club, and baking for family and friends. She treasures time spent with her husband and daughter.

Kayla McGuinnKayla McGuinn, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, specializes in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. Her patient care philosophy centers on treating the whole person, addressing not only physical concerns but also mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. “I believe that every patient deserves to be seen as an individual, not as a number or quota,” she said. “Building genuine connections and truly getting to know my patients allows me to provide compassionate, personalized care.” Kayla supports patients and families in managing chronic conditions and empowering them through education and compassionate care. She strives to treat each patient as she would a member of her own family – with empathy, respect, and dedication. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dogs and family, photography, traveling, knitting, and reading.
