During this time, the following restrictions will be in place: 

• Limit of two (2) visitors per patient 

• Visitors must be 11 years or older 

• Children are more susceptible to infections and can be ill without obvious symptoms. 

• Individuals should avoid visiting the hospital if they have respiratory symptoms or any of the following: headache, muscle aches, cough, fever, sore throat, and/or a runny or stuffy nose. 

While wearing a mask remains optional at UNC Health Pardee, it is strongly encouraged during times of increased flu-like illnesses.  

Anyone experiencing flu-like symptoms should visit an urgent care location. Seek care at the emergency department or hospital only when symptoms are severe or life-threatening. 

We encourage all visitors to wash or sanitize their hands before and after visiting patients and entering or leaving the hospital. Hand sanitizing dispensers are available throughout the building.
