UNC Health Pardee Welcomes Dr. Kristine Falk to Cardiology Team
UNC Health Pardee is pleased to welcome Kristine Falk, MD, to its robust team of heart specialists at Pardee Cardiology Associates. Dr. Falk has specialized training in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and the treatment of complex coronary and vascular conditions. She takes a comprehensive and individualized approach to heart health, not only treating existing conditions but also prevention, helping patients reduce their risk factors and improve their long-term outcomes.
Dr. Falk said she was drawn to Pardee because of its strong reputation for providing high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care. She shared that one of the most rewarding aspects of her work is being able to intervene in critical moments, whether it’s opening a blocked artery during a heart attack, preventing limb loss in patients with peripheral artery disease, or treating life-threatening blood clots. “My goal is to empower my patients to take charge of their heart health with informed decision-making and personalized care,” she said.
As a female physician, Dr. Falk pays particularly close attention to women’s heart health as heart disease in women often presents differently and is frequently underdiagnosed. “Educating and advocating for my female patients to ensure they receive timely and effective care is a passion of mine,” she said. When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Falk enjoys spending time outdoors with her family exploring western North Carolina.
