UNC Health Pardee Welcomes Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician Dr. Verai Ramsammy

Verai Ramsammy, MDUNC Health Pardee welcomes Verai Ramsammy, a distinguished pulmonary and critical care specialist, to Carolina Lung and Sleep at Pardee. Dr. Ramsammy has a special interest in treating patients with interstitial lung diseases, which cause progressive scarring of lung tissue. Her arrival strengthens Pardee’s commitment to delivering expert, compassionate care for patients with complex respiratory conditions and further enhances the depth of its specialty services in the region.

Dr. Ramsammy, board-certified in pulmonology and critical care, said her goal is to provide high-quality medical care unique to each individual’s needs while prioritizing patient autonomy and preference. She added that she’s also passionate about “consistently empowering patients with information and knowledge as they navigate the medical system to optimize their chances for successful clinical outcomes.” Dr. Ramsammy enjoys spending time with her dogs, hiking, and traveling when she is not seeing patients.
