UNC Health Pardee Implements Masking Restrictions in Emergency Department and Urgent Care Locations

Effective Friday, January 16, UNC Health Pardee is temporarily requiring masking for all teammates, patients, and visitors in its Emergency Department and all Pardee Urgent Care locations.

Due to the circulation of measles and other respiratory illnesses in our region, and in the interest of protecting our teammates, patients, and community, UNC Health Pardee will require masking for all patients and visitors to these locations. Masking will be required upon entry to these care settings, and masks will be made available for those who need them. UNC Health Pardee will continue to monitor illness trends and adjust safety measures as appropriate.

Patients and visitors are encouraged to delay non-urgent visits if experiencing symptoms of respiratory illness and to follow guidance from care teams while on site. For more information on visiting policies or the latest updates on the hospital’s response to respiratory illnesses, please visit pardeehospital.org.

UNC Health Pardee is a not-for-profit regional healthcare organization based in Henderson County and managed by UNC Health.
