UNC Health Pardee Names Bill Bentley Leader of the Quarter

UNC Health Pardee has named Bill Bentley, director of imaging services, as its Leader of the Quarter. In this role, Bentley oversees Pardee’s radiology departments and works to support the organization’s growth and expanding patients’ access to needed care and services.

Bentley has been with Pardee for nearly 26 years and said he was drawn to the organization’s culture of teamwork while completing clinical rotations as a radiography student. He said his favorite part of his job is caring for people and helping leave things better than he found them.

Colleagues describe Bentley as collaborative, transparent, and innovative. He recently led the expansion of weekend imaging services to improve appointment availability and continues to identify new ways to meet patient needs. Teammates shared that they can always count on him and appreciate his willingness to listen, support, and help others succeed.

The Leader of the Quarter award is given to a Pardee teammate in a position of director or higher. The recipient positively contributes to achieving the organization’s mission, vision and goals. This person is selected by a committee of their peers and recognized for going above and beyond their regular duties to support patients, customers, peers, the organization and its community. The Leader of the Quarter award showcases the many different roles of keeping a health system, like Pardee, operating and delivering patient-centered, quality care.
