UNC Health Pardee Welcomes Three New Providers to Pardee BlueMD

UNC Health Pardee is pleased to welcome three new providers to Pardee BlueMD, expanding access to care across Western North Carolina. Primary care providers Bronwyn Fadem, MD, a board-certified family medicine physician, will join Pardee BlueMD -805 Fairview Rd. in Asheville, and Jean Garcia, NP-C, board-certified family nurse practitioner will join Pardee BlueMD - 2695 Hendersonville Rd. in Arden. Chris Tries, PMHNP, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner joins the behavioral health team at Pardee BlueMD - 277 N. Broad St. in Brevard.

Bronwyn Fadem, MD's approach to patient care, is grounded in using evidence-based diagnosis and management while embracing a holistic, integrative focus on whole-person wellness. "I am committed to building my patients’ trust, by taking the time to listen and collaborate with them. By working with them I am able to tailor the care plan that best fits their life,” shared Dr. Fadem.

"Having grown up in Western NC, I chose to train and practice here because of my familiarity with the community and cultures which enhances the quality and relevance of the care I provide." In her free time, Dr. Fadem enjoys gardening, cooking, partner acrobatics, going to concerts, traveling, unique community events, and making friends from all walks of life.

Jean Garcia, NP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who specializes in family medicine and primary care. She holds a master's and doctorate degree in nursing from University of South Florida. "My goal with every patient is to help them feel heard, informed, and empowered to make the best decision for their health,” said Garcia. When not seeing patients, Garcia can be found reading and spending time outdoors with her family.

Chris Tries, PMHNP, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner focused on assessing, diagnosing and treating individuals with mental health and substance abuse disorders. "I want to help my patients find, define and reach their own definition of mental and physical health," shared Tries. When not treating patients, Tries enjoys mountain biking, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and spending time at home with his wife and dogs.
