Pardee UNC Health care is holding a free lung cancer information session on Thursday, November 8th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m, located in the Pardee Cancer Center at 805 6th Avenue West. It’s free and open to the public.
Lung cancer is the leading cause of death in both men and women. Symptoms don’t usually appear until the disease is too advanced to treat. Join Dr. Eisenhauer, Dr. Rodberg and Dr. Zia to learn new advancements in
the fight against lung cancer using the low dose CT Lung Scan and how it’s saving people’s lives by detecting lung cancer in the early stages. Also, hear about the latest in radiation treatment using SBRT technology, as well as surgical options for treating lung cancer.
Consider attending if you or someone you know:
• Currently smokes tobacco, or previously smoked cigarettes for 15 years or more.
• Has been exposed to second hand smoke
• Has a family history of lung cancer
