We are devoted to creating an environment that encourages a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise, constructive psychological training, and good nutrition.

Pardee Bariatrics and General Surgery, a Department of Pardee Hospital, is committed to evidence-based and leading-edge surgery, integrated and customized care, and life-long maintenance and support is what sets us apart, leading our patients to successful outcomes and happier, healthier lives.

Board-Certified and Fellowship-Trained Surgeon

Chris Edwards, MD, is a board- certified and fellowship-trained general surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive surgery, including bariatric, acid reflux, and hernia surgery.

Certified Physician Assistants

Amelia Martin, PA-C, and Alex Benson, PA-C, are board- certified physician assistants who specialize in bariatrics and weight loss. Physician Assistants provide all aspects of bariatric care, including pre, intra, and post-operative needs. They develop customized care plans for their patients and enjoy working alongside them throughout their bariatrics and weight loss journey.

Program Navigator

Our program navigator works one-on-one with each patient to create an individualized care plan, while taking the time to educate them about their surgical options, and provide them with resources to guide them along the way. From the very first step a patient takes, through surgery and follow up, the Program Navigator provides support, advocacy and encouragement.

Registered Dietitian

Our registered dietitian guides each patient through their nutritional needs and lifestyle changes. This person deeply understands the important role that diet plays in a bariatric patient’s success, and is available throughout their journey to answer any dietary and nutritional questions or concerns.

Certified Medical Assistant

Certified Medical Assistants assist the bariatrics program with a variety of needs and answers questions for patients or potential candidates who call into our practice. They also gather a patient’s health information and establish their patient profile.
